Humla District Hospital (Group vandalism) Incident

Hospital: Humla District Hospital, Mugu

Victims: ANM, Doctor, Health Assistant and Helper

Type of violence: Physical violence and Medical vandalism

Event: A group of 6-7 people had entered the hospital premises without permission and tried to molest the ANM on duty in ER. On her call, the doctor had tried to help her and was mishandled by them. When the HA and the helper tried to intervene, there were thrashed. The helper was admitted to the hospital with severe chest pain and soft tissue injury and the HA had sustained and abrasion on his left elbow. The group had also pelted stones leading to destruction of wall of birthing center.
