Relatives claimed that the patient was improving and suddenly went unconscious and started frothing once the patient was given an injection by a nurse. Medical superintendent Dr. Rajendra GC was man-handled by the crowd.

Event: A 56-year-old man was admitted to the hospital and operated for the removal of renal stone. Postoperatively, nephrectomy was undertaken to stop the ongoing hemorrhage from the kidney. Although the bleeding was believed to have ceased after the second surgery, patient passed away. They demanded that Rs 10 million should be given as compensation and action against the surgeon. An agreement was reached for Rs 2.2 million and that action would be taken for involved surgeon.
